NASDAQ,
which is an acronym for
the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated
Quotations, is an electronic stock market based in the United States.
Started by the National Association of Securities Dealers, it is
now owned and operated by The NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc.
The
NAZ currently has over 3,300 companies (Which are all listed
@ NAZinvesting.com),
which is the most of any major United States exchange.
When
the NAZ first traded on February 8, 1971, it was the world's
first electronic stock exchange. At it's peak in 2000, the index
topped out at 5132.52. It has since corrected but growth has again
taken charge.
There
